About Us

We are a substantial business with a highly productive home farm at Seamer near Stokesley at the base of the Cleveland Hills. We are a hugely diverse business priding ourselves in innovation and providing services beyond the basic farming needs. We grow a variety of crops for a range of markets.

Not only are we farming to provide for the rapidly growing needs of today, we strive to also think about the future.

The business turns over approximately 500 head of beef cattle. Bought in as strong stores feed on home grown Barley then sold through Northallerton Auctions.

We produce free range eggs for Noble foods, which are sold under the Happy Egg brand.

The business has also invested heavily in a new Allmet grain dryer and weigh bridge to accommodate for any new opportunities. Two large sheds have been erected to keep all straw and machinery secure and dry.

Our Services

Cultivations & Drilling

We have a wide range of cultivation and seed bed preparation systems to suit all types of soil and customers preference.

Including ploughing, flat lifting, power harrowing, pressing and min-till.

We run 2 drilling systems, which are vaderstad drill for dry conditions and direct drilling then 2 combination drills for everything else.

Spraying

We operate a self-propelled 24m sprayer. This is MOT’d every year to ensure it is applying accurately. The operator is fully qualified and is also a member of NROSO. The sprayer is equipped with autosteer for accurate grass land spraying.

Combining

We run 2 John Deere combines, which are both equipped with straw choppers and zurn OSR extensions for direct Oil Seed Rape cutting.

Fertiliser Spreading

We run a Kuhn weighcell Fertiliser Spreader, which can also be used to apply variable rate fertiliser. This machine is tray tested every year to ensure an accurate spread.

Baling

We run 2 welger round balers and 1 Massey Ferguson square baler (mini Heston).

Wrapping & Stacking

We operate 2 high speed McHale wrappers. 1 for the round bales and the other for the square bales. We prefer to wrap in the farmyard as this ensures the bales are stacked with no holes in them.
